Job description

The Senior Quality Engineer will serve as a hands-on quality engineering leader supporting Retirement & Wealth products. This individual will help modernize and scale our automated testing capabilities, partnering closely with Engineering to improve software quality, reduce manual testing effort, and accelerate delivery.

This is not a traditional QA role. We are looking for an engineer who can design, develop, troubleshoot, and evolve test automation frameworks while helping drive our migration toward TypeScript and Playwright-based automation solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals, test automation expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset. They are comfortable discussing code, debugging automation failures, reviewing framework design decisions, and mentoring other Quality Engineers on modern automation practices.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first year this individual will:

Help advance our Playwright and TypeScript automation strategy.
Expand and improve automation framework capabilities.
Reduce regression effort through effective automation coverage.

Partner with engineers to identify quality risks earlier in the SDLC.

Required Experience

7+ years in Quality Engineering, SDET, Test Automation Engineering, or Software Engineering.
