Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC, a leading autism and IDD care software maker, seeks a Sr. Quality Engineer to improve quality across the software life cycle.

You will partner with Product, Development, and DevOps to craft test cases, automate tests, and diagnose root causes to ensure reliable software for ABA, therapy, and education customers. The role emphasizes developing automated scripts, expanding test coverage, and driving quality in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of Quality Assurance experience in an Agile environment.
• 5 to 7 years of testing web and mobile applications in a SaaS organization.
• Experience writing test cases (functional and non-functional) and managing a test case library.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the test case library to increase test case coverage.
• Create test cases for verification and validation of web, mobile, API and all system integrations.
• Perform manual acceptance testing on an Agile team, investigating issues and reporting bugs/defects.
• Increase automated test coverage with reusable and deterministic automation scripts.
• Develop automated scripts within expected timeboxes to ensure coverage.
• Maintain the test automation library for high reliability during execution.
• Develop test plans that ensure full test coverage of changes to support releases.
• Promote collaboration and quality activities with Product and Engineering teams.
• Develop testing strategies to increase internally found defects vs customer reported defects.
• Ensure quality releases of software with no production downs and/or critical impediments to users.

the company is looking for a Sr. Quality Engineer to work within our Engineering department. As a Quality Engineer, you will help drive quality throughout the entire software life cycle through collaboration with product and development teams, development of test cases and automation scripts, and analysis of the system to consistently deliver quality software to our customers. Key Accountabilities:

• Enhance the test case library to increase test case coverage.
• Create test cases for verification and validation of web, mobile, API and all system integrations.
• Perform manual acceptance testing on an Agile team, investigating issues and reporting bugs/defects.
• Increase automated test coverage with reusable and deterministic automation scripts.
• Develop automated scripts within expected timeboxes to ensure all work that may impact the system has coverage.
• Maintain the test automation library for high reliability during execution.
• Develop test plans that ensure full test coverage of changes in the application under test to support releases .
• Promote and encourage collaboration and quality related activities with the Product and Engineering teams.
• Develop intelligent and efficient testing strategies to dramatically increase the ratio of internally found defects versus customer reported defects.
• Ensure quality releases of software with no production downs and/or critical impediments to users.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance working in an Agile Engineering environment.
• 5 to 7 years of experience testing web and mobile applications in a SaaS organization.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with Product, Engineering and DevOps.
• Experience writing test cases (functional and non-functional) and management of a test case library.
• Experience with scripting/programming languages to develop test automation scenarios for web and/or mobile applications, and API services.
• High level competency in programming/scripting languages and concepts.
• Deep understanding of UI Test Automation with best practices and patterns for building reliable and scalable automation.
• Knowledge of web application technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), REST API, and mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
• Experience parsing and verifying responses/payloads from API interfaces.
• Experience using API development/automation tools such as Postman.
• Ability to understand relational data in a database and query the database
• Experience formulating testing strategies for software releases.
• Solid understanding of utilizing different types of testing and best practices for creating testing suites targeting various phases of the development life cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile testing best practices and processes.
• Solid understanding of the CI/CD pipeline and integrating test automation to support stages of the pipeline.

Base Salary Range

$115,000—$140,000 USD
