Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Sr. QA Engineer to strengthen software quality across cloud-native delivery workflows in a highly regulated Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.

You will collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to build reliable automation, improve release confidence, and support compliance-focused testing across web apps, APIs, databases, and CI/CD pipelines. Remote work is available for US-based candidates.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software QA experience, including 5+ years in test automation.
• Strong programming skills in Java or Python for automation.
• Hands-on UI automation with Playwright or Selenium.
• API testing using REST Assured, Postman or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and ensure quality is prioritized from the start.
• Build and maintain automated tests for web UI, REST APIs, and databases.
• Own and enhance regression test suites, ensuring they run in CI/CD.
• Test for HIPAA and SOX compliance with traceability to requirements.
• Analyze test results, triage failures, and drive defect resolution.
• Validate deployments during off-hours and confirm system health post-deployment.
• Participate in risk assessments and provide evidence-based quality recommendations.
• Mentor junior QA engineers through pairing and code reviews.

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. QA Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will help strengthen software quality across modern, cloud-native delivery workflows in a highly regulated environment. You will partner closely with engineering and delivery teams to build reliable automation, improve release confidence, and support compliance-focused testing practices. The work will center on web applications, APIs, databases, and CI/CD pipelines, with an emphasis on traceability, stability, and fast defect resolution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $100,000 – $135,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and help ensure quality is prioritized from the start
