Role overview

A leadership role for an experienced quality engineering professional to own the QA strategy across a healthcare technology platform. The position combines people management, process design, and hands-on automation work, ensuring every release meets high standards for reliability, security, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers working across both manual and automated testing disciplines.
• Review test plans, test cases, and test scripts for completeness, and provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Manage team capacity, allocate workload, and track defects through resolution with engineering partners.
• Establish and maintain QA standards, documentation templates, and best practices that promote quality advocacy organization-wide.
• Oversee test planning, execution, and coverage for new features and releases across multiple platforms.
• Drive expansion of automation frameworks, prioritize the automation backlog, and report progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software QA experience, ideally within health tech.
• 2+ years leading a QA engineering team.
• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with API testing tools and SQL for database validation.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, FDA, and GDPR.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
