Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Columbia. Our client is the world’s first real-time government analytics software, data, and media company platform headquartered in Washington, D.C. Most state and local government information comes from unstructured data, whether it is legislative text, regulations, filings, court cases, or speeches. The company aims to turn the policy world on its head by providing a platform for real-time government analysis and providing compliance, government affairs, and competitive intelligence to enterprises. It connects companies to the government, allowing them to take notice of what policies may impact their business and allowing companies to stay in compliance while pursuing future goals. The company offers software tools and platforms, data services, and news through the Government Relationship Management (GRM) service that aggregates legislation, regulations, and government filings from federal, state, and local agencies, uses artificial intelligence to structure it and normalize it, and delivers personalized data feeds to companies to show how the government may be impacting their businesses.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Proven experience building automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with manual testing, bug tracking, and test management tools.
• Good knowledge of CI/CD and integrating test automation into pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

• Experience testing APIs (e.g., Postman or similar).
• Knowledge of performance or security testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the testing strategy for both manual and automated tests.
• Execute manual test cases for complex scenarios and exploratory testing.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality.
• Identify, log, and track bugs, and provide clear documentation.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports.
