Job summary

Newlineinfo Corp - IT Services and IT Consulting in Austin, TX seeks a QA engineer focused on test automation for UI and API layers. You will design and execute tests, contribute to test plans, and help improve defect management.

You will use Selenium, Playwright, Karate, and Rest Assured, with SQL validation and data integrity checks. Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD, and AI-assisted testing is highly valued; on-site work five days a week is required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in UI and API test automation using Selenium, Playwright, Karate, and Rest Assured.
• Solid understanding of QA fundamentals, including STLC, Test Planning, Test Strategy, Test Case Design, and Defect Management.
• Good knowledge of database testing, SQL queries, and backend data validation.
• Basic understanding of performance testing concepts with exposure to JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience working with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions is preferred.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development, prompt engineering, AI agents, and modern testing practices is highly desirable.
• Investment Banking domain knowledge is a plus; candidate must be based in Austin, TX and able to work from the office 5 days a week.
