Title: Sr. Project Manager – IT Operations

Location: Marlborough, MA (Remote – onsite as needed, approximately 1–2 times per month)

Employment Type: Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – IT Operations to lead enterprise technology initiatives from planning through production delivery. This role will coordinate cross-functional IT teams, manage project governance and stakeholder communication, and support ServiceNow, IT Operations, and Service Desk initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Own project planning, execution oversight, and delivery to production.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, schedules, and readiness activities.
• Coordinate and track project deliverables, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Facilitate alignment across IT teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Manage RAID logs and ensure alignment with governance and security standards.
• Provide consistent project status reporting and participate in executive-level updates.
• Maintain project documentation, decision logs, and delivery artifacts.
• Lead ServiceNow initiatives focused on process and operational improvements.
• Support additional IT Operations and Service Desk initiatives as needed.
• Manage proof-of-concept to pilot to production transitions.
• Coordinate vendor activities and ensure effective delivery across internal and external teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Project Management experience delivering enterprise technology initiatives.
• Strong Project Management, Vendor Management, and Stakeholder Management experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow required.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams required.
• Experience working with IT Operations, Service Desk, ITSM, or end-user technology initiatives.
• Strong experience with Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP certification required.
• Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, governance, and executive-level reporting.
• Experience managing vendor-led implementations is preferred.

Compensation (MA Pay Transparency):

• Estimated hourly range: $70–$80/hr (W-2).
• Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
