Position Overview
The Sr. Project Manager - Finance Transformation willlead and support multiple workstreams within a broader Finance Transformationprogram, ensuring strategic objectives are translated into actionable plans andsuccessfully delivered through execution.
Reporting to the Project Lead, this role will be responsiblefor managing complex projects and workstreams across people, process,technology, and real estate, supporting the delivery of the future-state TargetOperating Model (TOM) for Finance.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record ofmanaging complex, enterprise-level projects and transformation initiatives.This individual will work closely with senior Finance leadership andcross-functional stakeholders, coordinating resources across geographicallydispersed teams and driving initiatives from planning through successfulcompletion.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, self-motivated,and collaborative project leader who can operate effectively with minimaloversight, navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, and maintainmomentum in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project and Workstream Management
- Leadand support multiple Finance Transformation projects and workstreamsacross regions and functions.
- Develop,manage, and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones,dependencies, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Coordinatemultiple enterprise projects simultaneously, ensuring priorities remainaligned with overall transformation objectives.
- Communicateproject objectives, priorities, milestones, dependencies, and requiredactions to project teams, management, and key stakeholders.
- Coordinatedirect and indirect resources across geographically dispersed locationsand functional teams.
- Utilizeproject implementation tools, methodologies, and documentation, includingproject plans, implementation toolkits, migration schedules, actiontrackers, and status reports.
- Monitorproject progress and proactively identify risks, issues, dependencies, andpotential impacts to business objectives.
- Driveprojects and workstreams to successful completion while maintainingalignment with the overall Finance Transformation strategy and vision.
- Facilitatecross-functional collaboration and ensure effective communication acrossproject teams and stakeholders.
2. Finance Transformation and Strategic Program Support
- Providestrategic project management support across the Finance Transformationportfolio.
- Supportand lead Finance PMO activities, ensuring effective governance, reporting,prioritization, and execution across the portfolio.
- Developstrategic project deliverables, including business cases, assessments,communication plans, project plans, executive presentations, and statusreports.
- Prepareand present project updates, key decisions, risks, issues, andrecommendations to senior Finance leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Facilitatedecision-making and problem-solving on key project and program issues.
- Partnerwith Finance, Accounting, Technology, HR, Real Estate, and otherfunctional teams to coordinate activities and resolve projectdependencies.
- Supportinitiatives designed to establish or evolve the Target Operating Model(TOM) for Finance.
- Identifyopportunities to improve processes, project execution, stakeholderengagement, and overall transformation outcomes.
3. Governance, Risk Management, and Project Controls
- Establishand maintain effective project governance and controls for assignedprojects and workstreams.
- Proactivelyidentify, assess, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Escalatesignificant risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions to appropriateleadership with clear recommendations and potential solutions.
- Manageproject deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and critical pathactivities to ensure successful and timely execution.
- Managechange management and change control processes across assigned projectsand programs.
- Maintainaccurate and timely project reporting and provide leadership with clearvisibility into project health, progress, risks, and upcoming milestones.
- Ensureproject activities remain aligned with established governance, businessrequirements, and transformation objectives.
4. Executive and Stakeholder Management
- Buildstrong relationships with senior Finance leaders, business partners, andcross-functional stakeholders.
- Effectivelycommunicate complex project information to executive audiences in a clear,concise, and actionable manner.
- Influencesenior stakeholders and facilitate alignment across functions, regions,and competing priorities.
- Navigateorganizational complexity and ambiguity while maintaining strongstakeholder relationships.
- Serveas a trusted project management partner to leadership and cross-functionalteams.
- Fostera collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on accountability,transparency, and successful delivery.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 5-10+years of Project Management experience, preferably within complex,enterprise-level organizations.
- Experienceleading Finance Transformation, Finance PMO, or enterprisetransformation initiatives.
- Experienceworking within large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
- Backgroundor experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Provenexperience managing multiple projects, workstreams, and competingpriorities simultaneously.
- Experiencecoordinating cross-functional teams and resources across multiplelocations or business functions.
- Strongexperience with project governance, risk management, issue resolution,change control, and executive reporting.
- Excellentexecutive communication and presentation skills, with the abilityto communicate effectively with senior leadership.
- Demonstratedability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholdersacross organizational boundaries.
- Strongproficiency with Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word,Teams, Outlook, and other productivity and collaboration tools.
- Experiencesupporting Target Operating Model (TOM) initiatives is preferred;knowledge can be developed on the job.
