About The Job

We’re looking for a Product Manager with an interest in finance and a great analytical mind with impeccable business judgment, passionate about automating Hopper’s financial reporting. Reporting to the VP of Finance Operations and Control, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization, you will lead project management for Finance Automation (FinAut), overseeing a team of developers. Your role involves strategic oversight and establishing priorities to meet our North Star Objectives.

Your responsibilities include implementing process improvements and automation initiatives, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring the success of projects. The main product supported is a finance ledger consolidating sources into a real-time view used for reporting, billing, reconciliation, and analysis.

Daily Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and implement the FinAut roadmap in collaboration with the Head of Finance Engineering and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for FinAut to contribute to the finance organization, considering business risks and growth areas.
• Define, scope, and gather requirements for all projects.
• Prioritize and triage engineering requests, making quick decisions to address urgent needs.
• Monitor project status and performance, providing a business perspective for technical decisions.
• Ensure data integrity of the ledger, working with business and product teams on complex data issues.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 3-4 years of product management experience, preferably with financial data products.
• Strong analytical skills, including good SQL knowledge.
• Technical ability to communicate and collaborate with software developers and finance stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Flexibility to pivot priorities as needed.
