HiTHIUM's project management team is growing! As a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of the full execution lifecycle for complex, high-value BESS projects, leading internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver on schedule, on budget, and on spec. You'll also serve as a mentor and technical resource for junior project managers, and play a direct role in shaping project delivery processes across the organisation. This role is a strong fit for someone who has built a proven track record of independently managing large-scale projects in a structured environment such as a production facility, EPC firm, or engineering company, and is ready to take on greater ownership, strategic input, and team leadership in the energy storage industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full execution lifecycle of complex, high-value BESS projects, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, partners, and senior leadership.
• Build and maintain strategic client relationships, proactively communicating project status, risks, and resolutions, including in high-stakes or escalated situations.
• Lead supplier and subcontractor relationships, including negotiation of scope and performance expectations.
• Ensure project activities align with company policies, contract requirements, and performance standards, and hold internal and external partners accountable to those standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to project managers and coordinators, helping develop their skills and judgment.

Project Planning & Execution

• Develop, own, and continuously refine project schedules and milestone tracking across multiple concurrent projects, proactively identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts.
• Lead cross-functional coordination across engineering, procurement, and logistics, driving alignment and resolving roadblocks at the organisational level.
• Drive the design and continuous improvement of quality control programmes and project delivery processes across the broader PM function.
• Prepare and present executive-level status reports, communicating updates and recommendations clearly to clients, leadership, and other key stakeholders.
• Lead contract administration, including change orders, submittals, and correspondence with clients and subcontractors, with authority to negotiate resolutions.
• Proactively identify, assess, and own mitigation strategies for project risks, escalating only the highest-impact issues to leadership.
• Direct and coordinate team members and vendors to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget, with accountability for overall project financial performance.

Qualifications

• Industry Background: Background in a production/manufacturing environment, EPC firm, or engineering organisation strongly preferred. Familiarity with BESS or renewable energy is a plus; a genuine interest in the sector is a must.
• Experience: 8+ years of project management experience, including demonstrated success independently leading large-scale, complex projects and managing multiple concurrent workstreams in a structured, process-driven environment. Experience mentoring or leading other project managers preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, construction management, or a related field. PMP Certification strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Project required. Experience with Procore or similar platforms is helpful.
• Collaboration: Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams through complex or ambiguous situations.
• Communication: Fluent in English with clear written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable presenting to and influencing senior client and internal leadership audiences.
• Travel: Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
