Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as CS, IS, business or similar.
  • Eight+ years leading enterprise software implementations or large-scale projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership with client-facing experience.
  • Strong SDLC understanding and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Overview: One Inc is looking for a talented Senior Project Manager within our Services team to implement our product suite. With a fast-growing customer roster, this is a great opportunity to put your organization and leadership skills to the test while leveraging One Inc’s proven methodologies, standards, and tools.


As a Senior Project Manager, you will be tasked with onboarding new customers by guiding them through the transition from Sales to Services while ensuring the implementation of the One Inc product suite reflects customer requirements and expectations. This position requires the ability to develop a deep understanding of product features and their applicability for solving customer requirements to manage both the timeline and interface with supporting business partners. Successful candidates will exude passion for improving our product suite by being a customer advocate, appreciation for working with great internal teams and customers, and the leadership experience and fortitude to communicate reasoning behind product decisions as it relates to business objectives.


The Senior Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and business leaders to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources effectively, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. With a focus on quality and consistency, you will help identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve outcomes across projects. You are ultimately responsible for customer success and should be seen by the customer and implementation partner as a product expert and trusted advisor. As such it requires a highly motivated and outgoing individual that welcomes building new professional relationships.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities, balancing customer needs with business and product priorities, and the ability to clearly articulate the rationale behind strategic decisions

  • Fulfills project management responsibilities serving as the primary point of contact and relationship owner within One, Inc. throughout the software implementation phases

  • Effectively drives project schedules and leads the collaboration effort to ensure timely project success

  • Collaborates with internal product SME’s to facilitate, procure, and coordinate requirements gathering throughout the discovery phase

  • Collaborates with internal and customer-facing teams to determine project scope, delivery, and overall solution

  • Create and manage work plans that support customer implementations

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

  • Anticipate and manage project risk

  • Guide delivery team towards completing projects within the defined scope, time and budget

  • Maintain regular contact with active customers including weekly project status meetings

  • Provide responsive, high quality service that meets or exceeds customer expectations

  • Gains intimate knowledge of the customer's use of One, Inc’s products and educates them on new features they are not using to possibly uncover new business opportunities

  • Develops a strong understanding of the customer’s business, system infrastructure, and use cases

  • Handles urgent customer concerns and escalates internally when necessary

  • Measure project performance and project status using appropriate tools and techniques

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Some domestic and international travel required (<10%)

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including active listening skills that allow you to ask the right questions to extract information

  • Continuously optimize processes and documents to drive efficiency and team improvement

  • Excellent understanding of SDLC (customer-facing experience a plus)

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience

  • Demonstrates strong analytical and strategic thinking skills and the ability to translate those skills into a proven track record in delivering successful projects

  • Leader and mentor within team, offering best practices and process improvements

  • Demonstrates credibility with customers, partners, field sales and cross functional stakeholders

  • Superior project management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to work independently, as well as contributing as an active team member across multiple time zones

  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience with current software development and web technologies

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, including ability to build relationships, interact and influence Executive and ‘C’ level individuals

  • Ability to lead and facilitate workshops and meetings that include a diverse group of individuals


Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university, preferably in the fields of computer science, computer systems management, business, communications or comparable experience

  • At least eight years of experience leading high-performance teams and/or implementation projects for Enterprise Packaged Software

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Web conferencing / virtual meeting experience required


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Background in Insurance Software

  • Insurance industry experience

  • Payments experience

  • Experience with a top-tier consulting company

  • Familiarity with Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

  • Familiarity with MS Office and SharePoint

  • Customer Success methodologies/experience
