Job description

Business Process Optimization Specialist

The Business Process Optimization specialist will play a central role in supporting the operationalization of new payment products and services within One Inc's digital payments platform and across payment operations touchpoints. This position is responsible for supporting the seamless integration of new products, from concept to launch, by designing and implementing efficient operational workflows, procedures, and controls. The specialist will ensure that all processes are thoroughly documented, compliant with regulatory requirements, and optimized for operational efficiency. This role will work with teams, vendors, and partners to improve payment operations, monitor product performance after launch, and ensure that payment operations meet business goals and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the operationalization of new payment products and services from concept to launch, ensuring smooth integration into One Inc’s platform. Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to define and implement operational processes, workflows, and controls for each new product.
  • Document procedures and processes by creating, maintaining, and updating comprehensive documentation for all payment operations, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flows, and controls. Additionally, ensure that documentation reflects the best practices, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure operational controls by designing and implementing controls for new payment products to ensure compliance with industry standards and minimize operational risk. Continuously evaluate and enhance controls to optimize performance, security, and reliability.
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration by partnering with product, technology, and business teams, facilitating effective communication across departments to drive successful product launches while ensuring compliance and risk management.
  • Work across partners to support continuous optimization of payment operations workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce redundancy, and streamline processes. Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement, ensuring scalability as new products are introduced.
  • Develop training materials and provide training sessions for internal teams on new product procedures, workflows, and controls. Ensure that all relevant stakeholders are equipped with the knowledge to support new products effectively.
  • Monitor Post‑Go‑Live Operations by overseeing the post‑launch operations of new products, monitoring performance against KPIs and SLAs. Address any operational issues and ensure that products are performing as expected, adjusting processes or workflows as needed.
  • Lead the reporting & continuous Improvement initiatives by tracking and reporting on operational performance of newly launched products, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Regularly assess and refine operational processes to ensure optimal efficiency, customer satisfaction, and alignment with company goals.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other relevant fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in the payment industry.
  • Must have knowledge of digital payments, fintech or SaaS operating models, preferably in banking, financial services, or insurance tech.
  • Must have a working knowledge of digital payment flows: ACH, credit/debit card, real‑time payments, etc. is preferred.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g. insurance, banking). Familiarity with PCI‑DSS, NACHA, AML/KYC requirements is preferred.
  • Experience in a fintech, Insurtech, or digital payment environment is a plus.
  • Hands‑on experience with workflow tools (Jira, Asana, Monday.com)
  • Certifications (Optional but Beneficial)
  • Lean Six Sigma – for process improvement and operational efficiency is preferred.

Physical Demands

Environment: Standard indoor office setting; exposure to computer screens.

Physical: Requires repetitive motion. Substantial movements/motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Sufficient mobility to work in an office setting; stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard, mouse, scanner and other tools as needed.

Vision: See in the normal vision range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents.

Hearing: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without corrections.
