Opportunity
In this role, you'll manage one or more intermediate and/or complex projects, up to the highest-level project complexity or a program area of projects, within a matrix team environment. Provide leadership, direction, training, coordination, and effective communication to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close projects in a safe, efficient, economical, risk-balanced approach to achieve short and long-range goals and to obtain maximum 막 customer satisfaction. Provide project transparency and develop relationships and effectively communicate with all stakeholders including internal customers, external customers, team members, suppliers, contractors, vendors, and industry peers, enabling them to make sound business decisions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and understanding all project documents to obtain a professional understanding of all of the materials. This would include scopes of work, purchase orders, material requests, and engineering drawings.
- Analyzing and understanding all project and contract budgets for verification, validation, and completeness.
- Ensuring that key components such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations are progressing throughout the project lifecycles.
- Responsible for managing multiple complex projects at the same time.
- Ensuring that all change management is included in the project plan and providing analysis and oversight of the project to ensure all planned tasks get completed.
- Working with accounting personnel to prepare capital expenditure authorizations and all associated budget revisions. Manages project budget. Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for the project. Accurately forecasts project cost to complete. Manages cash flows and final project cost, variances, and corrective actions.
- Providing the Sponsor leadership with project status (scope, budget and schedule progress) and identification of issues requiring management involvement for resolution.
- Securing agreement (or buy‑in) from associated departments to support the proposed schedule and resource requirements. Reviewing and approving project plans.
- Verifying and validating that project estimates are appropriately developed and that contingency is correctly applied.
- Ensuring that the tactical and strategic plans align with the project.
- Overseeing and reporting contractor(bitmap levels).
- Verifying adequacy of project team membership and participation. Responsible for overseeing the activities of all consultants and contractors on the project team.
- Understanding the terms of the contract and associated documentation of services under the contract/purchase order. Upon mobilization to the site, reviews applicable topics delineated in the Service Contractor Orientation / Evaluation Checklist with the contractor.
- Responsible for the quality assurance and control program, including identification of quality requirements, responsibility for QA program and if required, review and approval process for contractor provided procedures.
- Proactively identify risk and mitigation plans, monitor project status, recognize negative trends, and project variances, and coordinates corrective action.
- Developing and managing the project communication plan.
- Communicating project goals, priorities and decisions to all of the leadership team.
- Has expert experience in Project Management and can lead in the coaching and mentoring of team members to help them achieve individual expectations and deliverables. Demonstrates the ability to adapt to and lead, change, and coach others in the acceptance and support of change.
- Ensuring project challenge meetings, peer reviews and assessments are performed.
- Working with Project Scheduler personnelillons to develop and update the project schedule.
- Identifying and notifying the project team of additional resources or requirements necessary to meet the project scope or schedule.

Profile
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Project Management, Construction Management or related field is required. Minimum of 8 years' related utility project management experience required.
- PMP certification required. Strong project management skills are required with a demonstrated ability to develop, manage and control multiple tasks. Clear understanding of project management methodology as outlined by the Project Management Institute's Project Management Guidelines.
- Strong skill set around budgeting, cost control, scheduling, reporting and writing skills experience.
- Experience with a project management tools such as Primavera, MS Project, etc. with related scheduling / resource planning expertise is a plus.
- Detailed Project Controls experience is a definite plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical ability are required.
- Successful candidate must be a team player and possess a willingness to work in a team environment.
