Our client, a leader in the electric generation and utilities industry, is hiring a Project Manager to join their team!

This is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits (contract-to-hire)

As the Project Manager, you will oversee the management of large, complex projects including construction of combined cycle or simple cycle power plants and heavy industrial facilities. You will be responsible for contract management, bid evaluations, project scheduling, and ensuring key milestones are met, while collaborating across multiple disciplines and functions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage requests for proposals for labor, materials, specialty, and miscellaneous services, working closely with Supply Chain and the Lead Project Manager
• Update commercial terms in contracts as necessary
• Forecast, plan, estimate, and track project delivery and budget
• Assess and manage project risks and issues
• Oversee contract adherence for performance, cost, scope, schedule, and quality
• Develop concise documentation and visual materials (sketches, charts, diagrams) to facilitate communication
• Maintain contract documents, manage execution, mitigate risks, and support dispute resolution

Desired Skills:

• 5+ years experience in electric generation, heavy industrial, or gas fired combustion turbines project management
• Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred
• Experience in building and managing combined/simple cycle power plants and heavy industrial works
• Experience with Primavera P6 (CPM scheduling, cost, commodities, burn curves)
• Experience with project cost management, resource capacity planning, and change management
