Job summary

The Day & Zimmermann Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to lead project controls for complex greenfield construction projects in the U.S.

This role oversees a team, provides technical direction, and ensures Earned Value reporting and control baselines are established for firm-fixed-price projects. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in project controls, PMP is a plus, and strong skills in Word, Excel, Power BI, SAP R/3, and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Ten plus years experience in related project controls assignments.
• Experience with project controls on complex greenfield construction projects is a plus.
• PMP Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance for Project Controls personnel and assist with troubleshooting project controls issues.
• Support project proposals
• Participate in monthly project reviews and develop baselines for estimate/schedule/cost.

We’re looking for Sr. Project Controls Manager, Projects to join ourDay & Zimmermann Projectsteams on advanced class greenfield construction projects in the US

This position has supervisory/lead or manager responsibility over a group of project controls personnel or functions as a technical specialist who develops advanced concepts. Individuals with supervisory/lead or manager responsibility provide technical direction over a group and may be responsible for employee performance appraisals.

• Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and exceptional management and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and must possess the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Knowledge of general project controls functions (including Earned Value Reporting) and the ability to plan, organize, budget, and monitor progress on firm fixed price projects
• Good computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power BI.
• SAP R/3, and Primavera P6 knowledge is a plus.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Provide support and guidance for Project Controls personnel and assist with troubleshooting project controls issues.
• Support project proposals
• Participate and conduct internal/external monthly project reviews.
• Initiate/develop project control baselines(estimate/schedule/cost) and provide training on project control tools for new hires.
• Coordinate placement of project control personnel
• Develop and maintain site specific project controls procedures as required

What You Need To Bring To The Table:

• Associate’s Degree (AA) Preferred
• Ten plus years experience in related project controls assignments
• Computer proficiency certifications a plus or equivalent education
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $119,000 – $176,800. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
