Job summary

The Day & Zimmermann Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Manager for an on-site role at a data center project in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Anticipated duration is 2 years, with travel for audits and field coordination.

Candidates should bring extensive project controls experience, PMP is a plus, and proficient skills in Word, Excel, Power BI, and SAP R/3/Primavera P6 are advantageous.

• Effective verbal and written communication, ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of general project controls functions including Earned Value reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist with troubleshooting field project controls issues.
• Coordinate reporting process and client communications.
• Participate in project support team activities and audits for compliance.
• Coordinate interface report-out meetings between client and field sites.
• Coordinate startup of new field sites and demobilization when complete.
• Coordinate placement of field personnel.

We’re looking for a Project Controls Manager to join our Day & Zimmermann Projects team on site at our data center project in Point Pleasant, West Virginia

Anticipated project duration: 2 years

The Big Picture – Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and exceptional management and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and must possess the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Knowledge of general project controls functions (including Earned Value Reporting) and the ability to plan, organize, budget, and monitor progress on firm fixed price projects
• Good computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power BI.
• SAP R/3, and Primavera P6 knowledge is a plus.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Provide support andassist with troubleshooting field project controls issues. Also, coordinate support of the reporting process.
• Interface with clients and Business Unit VP's to ensure the required deliverables are being met, including monthly/period reports and project reviews.
• Participate in Project Support Team activities & Periodic audits of processes to ensure Contractual and Day & Zimmermann Procedural compliance. This activity will include travel.
• Coordinate all interface report out meetings between our client and field sites.
• Coordinate start up of new field sites and demobilization of same when complete. This activity will include Field Assignments.
• Coordinate placement of field personnel

What You Need To Bring To The Table:

• Some college or post secondary education preferred
• Ten plus years experience in related project controls assignments
• Computer proficiency certifications a plus or equivalent education
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $119,000 – $176,800. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
