Job summary

Amazon seeks a Process Improvement Manager to drive new initiatives and program launches for the ROADS Central Operations Team in Tempe, AZ. The role supports site leaders and operators as last-mile processes scale with rising volume and complexity.

Travel up to 10% of the quarter; you will lead cross-functional programs, develop strategies, leverage data analytics, and report KPI progress to senior leadership while managing budgets and program performance.

Qualifications

Amazon seeks a Process Improvement Manager to drive new initiatives, processes, and program launches for the ROADS Central Operations Team. The Process Improvement Manager will be a key member of strategic initiatives that will continue to improve last-mile processes to scale for rapidly increasing volume and complexity and support our site leaders / operators.


Specifically, this role will support Central Operations - ROADS.


*This role requires travel up to 10% of the quarter.


Key job responsibilities


  • Manage and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery.

  • Develop and refine program strategies, effectively leading and motivating teams.

  • Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics.

  • Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills.

  • Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and project success.

  • Evaluate and prioritize projects in conjunction with customer needs and technical team inputs.

  • Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common project pitfalls.

  • Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues.

  • Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives.

  • Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.

  • Manage and communicate project budgets effectively.


Basic Qualifications


  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership


Preferred Qualifications


  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Knowledge of general AI tools

  • Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
