Job summary

Amazon's Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team seeks a Program Manager in Nashville to drive strategic initiatives across the global fulfillment network, optimizing capacity and performance through data-driven decision making.

You will lead cross-functional programs, partner with RME, Non-RME and Ops stakeholders, and develop standard work that scales. Strong program delivery, analytics, and communication to senior leadership are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Amazon's Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team ensures that our global fulfillment and operations networks run safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. A Program Manager in Central RME will drive strategic initiatives that optimize operational capacity, enhance network performance, and deliver measurable improvements. This role combines hands-on execution with strategic planning to eliminate operational barriers, implement standard work practices, and foster partnerships with RME and Operations teams.

Key job responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional programs, projects, and initiatives impacting operations; develop solutions collaboratively with RME, Non-RME, and Ops stakeholders.
  • Partner with RME, Non-RME, and Ops stakeholders to lead root cause analysis, eliminate operational barriers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the network.
  • Own and optimize capacity models including architecture, methodology, and output validation to maximize capacity utilization.
  • Leverage advanced analytics for data-driven decision-making; monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain program artifacts including business requirement documents, initiative plans, and white papers.
  • Develop and implement standard work practices that improve key business metrics and translate lessons into standards across the network.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership; influence decision-making through clear narratives and data-backed recommendations.
  • Remove operational barriers through hands-on problem-solving to deliver immediate results.
  • As a Program Manager, drive a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • Knowledge of general AI tools
  • Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions
