Job summary

The JPI Group/JNDouglas is seeking a Senior Program Manager in East Lansing, MI to direct all phases of client programs from inception through completion. You will oversee cost, implementation and performance, and act as primary customer contact for program activities with the client.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in project management and 5+ years of people leadership, with a Bachelor's degree and MS or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs all phases of client programs from inception through completion.
• Manages cost, implementation and performance of company programs or subsystems.
• Negotiates contracts and contract changes with clients.
• Coordinates preparation of business plans, work statements, specifications, operating budgets and contract terms.

TojoinourteamasaSr.ProgramManager.Directsallphasesofclientprograms,frominceptionthroughcompletion.Responsibleforthecost,implementationandperformanceofcompanyprogramsorsubsystemsofmajorprograms.Participatesinthenegotiationofcontractandcontractchanges.Coordinatesthepreparationofbusinessplans,workstatementsandspecifications,operatingbudgetsandfinancialterms/conditionsofcontract.Ensuresthedevelopmentprocessiscongruentwithcurrentmarkettrends,programgoals,andclientneeds.Actsastheprimarycustomercontactforprogramactivities,leadingprogramreviewsessionswithcustomertodiscusscost,schedule,andperformance.Developsnewbusinessorexpandstheproductlinewiththeclient.Analyzesproblem/opportunityareasofassignedprogramsandevaluatesoptions.Evaluatesperformanceandmakesrecommendationsonmarketingactions.Establishesmilestonesandmonitorsadherencetoprogramplansandschedules,identifiesprogramproblemsandobtainssolutions,suchasallocationofresourcesorchangingcontractualspecifications.Determinestheprofitabilityandviabilityofnewproductsorprogramenhancements.Developsstrategiesandtacticstoensureeffectiveprogramperformancerelativetomarketopportunity,workingcloselywithcompanyfunctionalgroupsovertheentirelifecycle.Directstheworkofemployeesassignedtotheprogramfromtechnical,marketing,operations,analytics,andadministrativeareas.
