Position Overview

UPMC Williamsport has an opening for a Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse in our Invasive Cardiology Department. This position is scheduled for Days (7:30 am - 4:00 pm) and involves a weekend and holiday call rotation. Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for clinical quality and workplace improvement, applying evidence-based practices and leading or participating in innovative patient care initiatives.
• Serve as a role model and leader within the unit, providing mentorship, feedback, and participating in shared governance and hospital-wide councils.
• Develop and support others through precepting and continuous professional development activities.
• Apply the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment, involving patients and their families in care planning.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, demonstrating cultural awareness and promoting a healthy work environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience; BSN preferred. Maintain professional certifications and meet performance standards.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state or a multistate license under the NLC agreement.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire; ACLS within 90 days.
• Relevant nursing certifications as required, with ongoing professional development.
• Ability to assess and respond to patient needs across the lifespan, demonstrating clinical judgment and critical thinking.
