Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
• BSN preferred; Master’s degree may substitute certification.
• UPMC nursing certification required; Master’s may substitute if MSN/DNP held.
• If BSN held, Master’s may substitute for certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a unit leader in clinical expertise, teaching, or evidence-based practice.
• Apply the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to plan patient care.
• Precept students, graduates, and new hires; provide feedback and guidance.
• Identify opportunities for clinical quality and workplace improvement.
• Maintain professional relationships with physicians, families, and staff.
