Job summary

Blue Rhino, a Ferrellgas company, is hiring a Sr Production Specialist in Kansas City, KS. The role focuses on refilling, re-valving, requalifying, refurbishing, packaging, and storage of propane cylinders.

You will work in a team-based environment to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in production processes. Responsibilities include operating filling lines, performing valve replacements, adhering to DOT and OSHA standards, and maintaining equipment and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA safety standards is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Punctual, dependable, and reliable with a good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operates Carousel Filling operation and related filling tasks.
• Follows safety rules and OSHA standards at all times.
• Maintains supplies and keeps workplace clean and organized.
• Handles time cards and paperwork as required.
• Lifts up to 35 pounds as needed in various weather conditions.

Blue Rhino is seeking a Full-Time Sr Production Specialist to join our hardworking and safety-focused team. Our Sr Production Specialist plays a key role in our production process. They operate in a team-based environment to ensure quality, and safe and efficient, refilling, re-valving, requalifying, refurbishing, packaging, and storage of propane cylinders. Every cylinder is cleaned, leak-tested, inspected, and then delivered to tens of thousands of convenience stores nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Operates Carousel Filling operation as well as manual filling and forklift filling as needed.
• DOT training for 20-pound cylinder requirements - RIN certification.
• Operates Evacuation system for removing liquid and vapor from cylinders so they may be re-valved and shot blasted.
• Trained in cylinder valve replacement.
• Performs cylinder refurb operations based on work station.
• Follows OSHA standards and company safety rules and policies at all times.
• Maintains supplies, equipment, and uniforms issued by the Company and ensures the workplace remains clean, neat, and organized at all times.
• Performs assigned duties in all types of weather.
• Communicates escalated issues with supervisor.
• Maintains accurate time card and paperwork as required.
• Checks for quality assurance.
• Acts as forklift backup when needed.
• Some positions may require the ability to lift 35 pounds repeatedly throughout the day and in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other safety, environmental, and governmental standards preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Possess integrity and a good work ethic.
• Demonstrated ability to be punctual, dependable, and reliable.
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
