Job description

About the role and team

Product at Uber means making big decisions without perfect information—and owning the outcomes. As a Senior Product Manager (Tech), you will turn massive complexity into clarity at speed, navigating the \"messy\" reality of multi-sided marketplaces and high-stakes technical integrations. You will be at the heart of our most ambitious missions, architecting solutions that bridge the digital and physical worlds for millions of users globally.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you won’t just manage a roadmap; you will build 0-to-1 platforms that bridge the digital and physical worlds. You’ll need to lead through influence, not control, and stay resilient while balancing the needs of external partners, engineering teams, and global business units. If you are a curious, owner-minded product leader who is energized by challenge and motivated by real-world impact—this is where you’ll grow.

Rate of Pay: $190,000 to $232,000 per Year
You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits. More details can be found at the following link https://www.uber.com/careers/benefits.

What you’ll do
  • Define, own, and execute the product roadmap for the Membership Retention and Engagement charter.
  • Work closely with cross-functional counterparts.
  • Translate the product strategy and requirements into technical specifications for Engineers, UX Design, Data Scientists, Marketing, Operations, and other teams.
  • Define and launch experiments in collaboration with global cross functional stakeholders (Engineers, Data Scientists, Marketing, Operations, and other teams) to drive membership growth.
  • Scale the product launches across several continents to achieve growth goals.
  • Launch features across the Uber Eats app, Uber Rides app, and out-of-app communication channels.
  • May telecommute.
Basic Qualifications
  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, and three years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
    • Position requires:
    • Data Analysis of complex data sets;
    • Extracting business insights, troubleshoot product or service performance, and identify opportunities for product or service improvement;
    • Experimentation techniques, including simulation or A/B testing;
    • Data Analysis tools, including Mixpanel or Tableau;
    • Mobile application and web software architecture;
    • Translating abstract technical concepts into solutions;
    • Relational database concepts: SQL and MySQL;
    • Building consumer-facing technology products;
    • Optimizing product features to increase the user onboarding conversion rate;
    • Defining product specifications and user experiences;
    • Designing and implementing large scale customer experiments;
    • Analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing tools and systems;
    • Statistical analyses, including descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, and confidence intervals;
    • Developing relevant metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance.
