It works in partnership with individuals, families, clinicians, and care teams, combining hardware, software, and support services to improve communication outcomes. The company has 51–200 employees and is headquartered in Princeton, NJ.### The roleThe Senior Product Designer works across Lingraphica's connected product ecosystem, which includes MyNav (the customer and clinician portal), the Hub (communication software on speech-generating devices), and practice and therapy experiences. The role is a full design partnership role, not a UI execution role: you would work with Product and Engineering from early discovery through delivery, helping define problems, shape strategy, explore solutions, and evaluate outcomes. The position is fully remote within the US.### What you would do* Partner with Product and Engineering to define user and business problems, shape product strategy, and connect design work to measurable outcomes.* Build deep knowledge of AAC and assistive technology, including users, products, clinical workflows, data, and the competitive landscape.* Plan and lead discovery sessions with people who have communication challenges, care partners, clinicians, customers, and internal experts, using interviews, observation, co-design, concept testing, and usability testing.* Synthesize research, product data, business goals, and technical constraints into insights and recommendations that guide product decisions.* Explore multiple approaches and translate complex workflows and accessibility needs into user flows, prototypes, interaction models, and polished designs.* Design accessible, intuitive, and consistent experiences across device, web, and mobile products for people with diverse communication, cognitive, motor, visual, and hearing needs.* Use AI as a repeatable part of the design workflow and translate emerging AI and data-informed concepts into understandable, responsible product experiences.* Partner with engineers through implementation, adapting to constraints while maintaining the intent and quality of the experience.* Use prototypes, iterative testing, and post-launch learning to reduce risk and evaluate whether solutions address the original problem.* Communicate design rationale, evidence, and tradeoffs clearly; contribute to shared design systems and practices; and help raise the quality of product thinking, discovery, accessibility, critique, and craft across the organisation.### What they are looking for* 5+ years of product design experience, including meaningful ownership of complex digital products from discovery through delivery and iteration.* A portfolio demonstrating strong problem framing, strategic thinking, and design skills.* Experience planning and facilitating user research and collaborative discovery sessions, then translating findings into actionable product direction.* Strong interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, and visual design skills across web, mobile, or device-based experiences.* Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity, influence product direction, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional partners.* Ability to explain design rationale, challenge assumptions constructively, incorporate feedback, and make thoughtful tradeoffs.* Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools.* Strong knowledge of accessibility principles and WCAG 2.1 or later.* Excellent communication, facilitation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.* Bachelor's degree in HCI, interaction design, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.* Familiarity with HTML and CSS (preferred).* Experience designing inclusive experiences (strongly preferred).### Working arrangementsThis is a fully remote role within the US. You must be able to travel within the US (including by air) approximately 2–4 times per year for in-person team and all-company meetings. Work is performed from a home office with reliable and secure internet access.### Pay and benefitsThe starting salary range is $109,000 – $129,700 per year. Placement within the range is based on experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
