Job summary

Varstaff Staffing is seeking a Sr. Process Improvement Manager for a part-time on-site contract in Sparks, NV. You will drive process improvements, develop metrics, and lead audits to support lean and efficient operations.

The role targets 16 hours per week (4 hours a day, 4 days/week) through 12/31/2026, with oversight of best-practice adoption and training across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; relevant experience may substitute.
• 6–8 years of relevant process improvement experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (or willing to begin attaining it).
• Experience with continuous improvement, strategic problem solving, audits and appraisals.
• Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Drive the implementation, communication, training and auditing of company and industry best practices for a major aerospace and defense company. Partner with business-area and functional leadership to develop, deploy and execute process improvements that support lean, efficient and successful operations. This is a part-time onsite contract (about 16 hours per week, 4 hours a day, 4 days a week) through 12/31/2026.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
• Typically 6-8 years of relevant process improvement experience.
• Current Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (or willing to immediately begin attaining it).
• Experience with continuous improvement, strategic problem solving and internal/external audits and appraisals.
• Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 and CMMI process standards.
• Experience with program management processes, standards and certification.
