Trigo ADR Americas is seeking a Senior Process Quality Engineer to spearhead supplier quality initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement across aerospace manufacturing partners. The role involves hands-on project execution, coordination with multiple functions, and driving containment and corrective actions with suppliers.

You will develop supplier quality capabilities, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance to resolve process and product quality issues, ensuring robust quality

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Engineer in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment.
  • 5-8 years of FAI experience with AS9102 (FAI) standards at a quality engineering level.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, drawings, specifications, and inspection methods.
  • 5-8 years experience with ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems, especially in Production, Quality, and logistics.
  • Knowledge of FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards/regulations.
  • Experience leading customer audits.
  • Strong communication, project/time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools: Minitab, JMP, Excel.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC methodologies.
  • Understanding of satellite/LRU level product functionality and manufacturing readiness

Responsibilities

  • Assess suppliers' manufacturing and quality processes through supplier audits (AS9100, special processes, APQP, PFMEA).
  • Lead or support MRB activities to disposition non-conforming material and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform on-site supplier visits for root-cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
  • Promote Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, PFMEA and PFMEA techniques for continuous improvement.
  • Escalate unresolved supplier quality issues within projects and suppliers.
  • Assist suppliers in evaluating processes and identifying improvement opportunities to optimize performance.
  • Provide guidance to suppliers to solve process and product quality issues and improve internal/external quality.
  • Develop and maintain reports on supplier performance, with weekly/monthly updates to meet customer expectations.
  • Undertake special projects and maintain strong stakeholder relationships for optimal performance.

Under general supervision and reporting to Operations Leadership, the Lead or Senior Process Quality Engineer serves as a vital link between TRIGO ADR and our Prime Aerospace or Defense customers. The Senior Process Quality Engineer is a “hands on” role that will identify, drive, and manage projects to improve Delivery, Quality and cost performance within the Supply Chain. The Supplier Quality activities are focused on product and process performance for all production including New Programs, Current Production and Legacy, providing the link between Group Quality, Procurement and Supplier interacting with all relevant functions as required. TheSenior Process Quality Engineer will ensure the day-to-day project execution & coordination at the Supplier. The role is responsible for the development of our supplier base. Will utilize expertise in Quality, Purchasing, and Operations and will be deployed to our suppliers to ensure continuous improvement of their operations as well as containment of situations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assess suppliers manufacturing and quality processes through performing supplier audits following various standards depending on the type of audit. Audits may include but not limited to the following: AS9100 Compliance Audits, special processes, APQP audits, process, and product audits.
  • Lead and/or support MRB activities to achieve optimal disposition of non-conforming material and ensure that adequate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues
  • Promote and facilitate the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
  • Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers.
  • Support suppliers in the evaluation of existing manufacturing or business processes, identification of opportunities for improvement, and development of solutions to optimize supplier performance using various problem-solving techniques.
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to suppliers to solve process and product quality issues and improve internal and outgoing quality performance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed and accurate reporting of supplier performance and quality improvement progress. Report weekly and monthly on supplier progress to meet customer expectations.
  • Undertake special projects as required
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively with all stakeholders to ensure timely and effective responsiveness to abnormalities.
Required Skills
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Engineer in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment
  • 5-8 years of FAI experience with AS9102 (FAI) standards at a quality engineering level.
  • Strong understanding of various Engineering Processes, Standard Drawings Conventions, Interpreting Drawing, Specifications, and GD&T
  • 5-8 years' experience hands-on experience with the ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems Processes, especially in Production, Quality, and logistics
  • Knowledge of, (or hands-on experience preferred), with FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards and regulations
  • Experience leading customer audits
  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills
  • Project management, time management, problem solving and organization
  • Ability to work as an effective team member and lead other team members
  • Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools: Minitab, JMP, Excel
  • Proficiency in data analysis and advanced statistical technique
  • Strong understanding of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC methodologies
  • Understand satellite/Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level product functionality
  • Qualify products and processes for manufacturing readiness
  • Analyze product performance data to drive design and process improvements
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify actionable insights
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Systematic approach to identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions
