The Sr Process Engineer is responsible for developing, enhancing, and implementing systems that increase efficiency and optimize all phases of service or production process, from design to manufacturing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees process design projects and ensures the efficient and safe functioning of all the processes related to producing a product, substance, or service.
• Designs processes and equipment related to the development and commercialization of products or services that are cost-effective and within budget.
• Evaluates existing processes, suggests measures for improvement, and configures manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, boost productivity, quality, and profitability, and develop best practices within the production process.
• Implements methods and process designs, creates prototypes, tests, and makes necessary modifications where required.
• Conducts tests on systems for efficiency and accuracy until a quality and cost-effective production process is implemented successfully.
• Works closely with other professionals such as scientists and engineers on development and research projects.
• Researches and purchases new manufacturing technology and collaborates with the engineering department to improve production equipment functionality.
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, chemistry, material science, or related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred.
• 6+ years of previous process engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships and work autonomously or within a team.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and see.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
