Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with cGMP requirements and internal procedures.
  • Support design, fabrication, and commissioning of process equipment, including developing capital plans and executing equipment initiatives.
  • Coordinate activities with equipment users and external fabricators.
  • Review design documentation, SOPs, and validation protocols.
  • Assist with integration of equipment into site networks and systems.
  • Support validation activities such as IQ/OQ.
  • Investigate deviations and lead CAPA implementations.
  • Provide on-call support during off-hours to ensure continuous operations.
  • Manage engineering activities and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, including hands-on support.
  • Assist with programming and troubleshooting of PLCs and monitoring systems.
  • Coordinate on-site activities with vendors and contractors.
  • Lead risk assessments like FMEA on new or modified equipment.
  • Support operations in cleanroom environments and participate in daily meetings.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and collaborate across departments.
  • Serve as SME during audits and inspections, liaising with QA and Regulatory teams.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience in pharma or biotech, with emphasis on aseptic processing and lyophilization.
  • Deep knowledge of cGMP regulations and industry standards.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills for complex systems.
  • Experience with design, commissioning, validation, and maintenance of pharma equipment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools, automation, and quality systems software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment.
  • Willingness to provide on-call, off-shift, and weekend support.
Physical Requirements
  • Work on-site in manufacturing and cleanroom environments.
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Wear PPE and tolerate environmental conditions.
  • Provide support outside regular hours as needed.

Role location: Parsippany, NJ.

Benefits & Compensation

Competitive salary range: $120,000 - $138,000, plus annual incentives based on performance.
