WHAT WE NEED:

Sr. Process Engineer

The Sr. Process Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality within an organization. This role involves conducting in-depth analysis, designing process improvements, implementing changes, and providing technical support to the production team. The Sr. Process Engineer will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including other engineers, engineering coordinators, specialists, designers, and project managers to deliver innovative solutions and meet project objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead process engineering design and analysis for industrial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Develop and review P&IDs, PFDs, mass & energy balances, and process flow diagrams.
• Conduct process simulations, heat & material balances, and hydraulic calculations.
• Specify and size process equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, reactors, and separators.
• Perform technical evaluations of equipment and instrumentation selections.
• Define project goals, scope, allocate resources, and set timelines to ensure successful implementation of process enhancements and requirements.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Support clients with troubleshooting, plant modifications, and operational improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the organization.
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and field support activities as needed.

WHO WE NEED:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or process engineering or a related field. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• Ten plus (10+) years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a project-based environment.
• Strong understanding of process design, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or similar software.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, NFPA, OSHA, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Continuous learning mindset with a passion for staying updated with emerging trends and technologies in chemical/process engineering.
