Job summary

RTX’s Software Security Sensors and Effectors (S3E) team in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Senior Principal Software Security Engineer. You will develop real-time missile software in C/C++, apply security principles, and coordinate with Systems Security Engineering to ensure robust, verifiable solutions.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience, embedded OS expertise, and the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in STEM and a minimum of 10 years of software experience.
Experience with C / C++.
Experience with Xilinx UltaScale+ MPSoC, Versal, or similar Embedded Processors.
Experience with embedded OS like VxWorks, Embedded Linux, or similar.
Embedded Software Security experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret Level U.S. security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Understand real-time software design and performance implications for System Security implementations.
Develop and test real-time missile software in C/C++ across multiple platforms.
Apply System Security principles to missile software design and implementation.
Collaborate with Systems Security Engineering to define and implement requirements.
Review technical designs with customers and support verification of system maturity.
