JLG, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer - Autonomy to design, develop, and integrate ROS2-based autonomy software for active safety, ADAS, and unmanned ground vehicle control systems.
You will lead software architecture, motion planning, sensor processing, and inter-process messaging; mentor junior engineers; travel to off-site locations as needed; regular attendance required.

The Sr. Principal Engineer - Autonomy will provide design, development and integration support of software architecture, motion planning, computer vision and sensor processing algorithms, graphical user interfaces, and inter-process messaging for active safety, advanced driver assistance systems and unmanned ground vehicle control systems development.

Substantial analysis is required and many factors must be weighted before a decision can be reached. Decisions require considerable judgment, initiative and ingenuity in areas there is little precedent.
