Job summary

Piedmont Clinic is seeking a Sr. Performance Improvement Lead to oversee a portfolio of system-wide improvement projects across Georgia. You will partner with clinical leaders, administrators, and staff to scope initiatives, develop plans, and drive interventions to meet performance targets.

A strong background in process improvement and project management is essential. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a possible Master's degree, and RN licensure or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in engineering, nursing, healthcare/business administration, or closely related field.
• Master’s degree in Health Systems/Health Administration, Nursing, Business/Management, Public Health or related field preferred.
• RN license required (GA) or equivalent multistate license if candidate is RN.
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma or CPHQ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns and manages system-wide performance improvement projects.
• Collaborates with clinical leaders, senior administrators, and frontline staff to implement interventions.
• Ensures timely execution and attainment of performance targets; demonstrates goal orientation and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Performance Improvement Lead owns a portfolio of system wide performance improvement projects, supporting Piedmont's quality and safety strategic priorities, such as Leapfrog Hospital Safety grades, Clinical Governance Councils, "Zero Harm" efforts, or any other improvement priorities, as they arise. Confidently utilizes a combination of process improvement and project management skillsets to scope projects, develop project plans, and collaborates with clinical leaders, senior administrators, and frontline staff, from multiple disciplines, to implement improvement interventions. Responsible for timely execution and attaining performance targets. Must be goal-oriented and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Nursing, Healthcare/Business Administration, or a closely related field Required
• Master's degree in Health Systems/Health Administration, Nursing, Business/Management, Public Health or a related field Preferred

Work Experience

• 4 years of progressively responsible project management or process improvement experience with a Bachelors degree Required or
• 3 years progressively responsible and relevant project management or process improvement experience, with a Masters degree Required or
• 4 years of clinical practice/experience with relevant project management or process improvement experience Required
• Previous experience leading process improvement projects or Kaizen events Required
• Exceptional organizational skills Required
• Strong project management/interpersonal skills Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure , if candidate is an RN Required
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma or CPHQ Preferred
