Job Summary

The Sr. Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the preparation, review, processing and management of domestic and global payroll. They will be responsible for all employee data requests, analysis, maintenance, and administration relative to the payroll systems. To be successful in this role, they will require advanced Excel skills, have strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills that allows them to maintain the highest degree of accuracy, compliance, and customer service standards. This role will have no direct reports. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and processing of semi-monthly payroll for growing US headcount around 200 employees, presently using the ADP payroll platform.
  • Review, process and manage monthly payroll for growing global headcount around 200 employees & contractors in 10 different countries with third party payroll vendors, and maintain all related records.
  • Process and maintain payroll information for time off requests and employee transactions such as timesheets, direct deposits, leave of absences, garnishments, new hires, terminations, and domestic partner processing.
  • Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits and review to ensure data integrity.
  • Process off-cycle payroll checks as needed.
  • Research and resolve, on a timely basis payroll related questions from employees and managers.
  • Review, reconcile, and fund 401k contribution and loan data in Fidelity PSW (Plan Sponsor WebStation).
  • Review, reconcile, and submit EDR (Eligibility and Deduction Report) in Navia.
  • Participate in finance/accounting-related projects that incorporate payroll data.
  • Verify and process bonus and quarterly stock payments.
  • Assist with all payroll related compliance such as year-end statements, non-discrimination preparation, 5200 filing, and regular audits etc.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BS/BA Degree in Business Administration (Finance or Accounting concentration preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years related accounting/payroll/human resources work experience. Preference will be given to those with experience in multiple disciplines.
  • Prior experience utilizing, running reports, with payroll systems, HR information systems or other database type system.
  • Advanced experience with Excel required, must know pivot tables, vlookup, macros as plus.
  • Prior experience with ADP a plus; Other payroll systems experience desired (i.e. UKG, Workday, etc.).
  • Prior experience with HRIS systems desirable (i.e. ADP, Workday, UKG, etc.).
  • Prior experience with international payroll preferred.
