The Sr Coordinator, Transportation will work to optimize all transportation and logistics processes to create maximum efficiency.PLEASE NOTE: This position is for an ONSITE (not remote) Sr. Payroll Coordinator in Montgomery, ALSchedule: Sunday – Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMSalary: $25/hour or more based on experienceESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDuties may include, but are not limited to, transportation payroll, logistics, and backhaul functions.Transportation PayrollAnswer incoming calls to resolve driver, sales representative, and customer issues; communicate route updates to driversUtilize systems (MS Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, etc.) to create, update, and manage weekly payrollComplete damages and shorts process, including vendor/driver communication and documentationSupport training and development of junior clerical teammatesPerform other duties as assignedWORK ENVIRONMENTWork is performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to warehouse conditions, including cooler/freezer areas with temperatures as low as -5°F.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSExperienceMinimum three (3) years of warehouse PAYROLL / ACCOUNTING experience > REQUIREDPrior logistics, transportation, and/or warehouse experience requiredKnowledge / Skills / AbilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer service and telephone skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong math, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detailIntermediate computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)Ability to independently solve problems of moderate scopeStrong teamwork skillsEducationHigh school diploma or GED/equivalent requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of DOT Hours of Service regulationsFamiliarity with geographic delivery areaSystems Experience PreferredEXCEL, SPREADSHEETS, PAYROLL; Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, XATA, Manhattan, PowerDock, AirclicCompensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.The expected base rate for this role is between $25.00 and $25.00 per hour.This role will also receive:Benefits:Benefits for this role may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.To review available benefits, please visit:https://www.usfoods.com/careers/benefits.html#LI-CB1Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds).
