Job summary

US Foods seeks a route scheduler to plan and sequence deliveries using RoadNet and related mainframe systems. You will match customer orders to loads, balance trailer loads, and build cost-effective routes that meet customer needs. This role interfaces with Sales and Warehouse to determine delivery feasibility.

Strong computer skills, data entry and basic math are required. Shift is Sun–Thu 11am–8pm with pay around $30 per hour, overtime as applicable, and comprehensive benefits.

• Must read, write and communicate in English related to job and safety regulations.
• Must have computer skills – data entry, general report generation, spreadsheet design, data manipulation, mainframe downloads.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).

Responsibilities

• Utilize specified software to route trucks by matching customer orders to loads.
• Balance loads per trailer by size and weight of product and pallets to be loaded.
• Build cost effective routes while maintaining customer needs.
• Work with Sales and Warehouse to determine delivery feasibility.
• Prepare daily reports (route changes, sequence changes, new customer requests).
• Maintain routing software system parameters (RoadNet and Mainframe).

Possess ability to resolve a variety of issues of fairly non-routine nature with some independence. Ability to work scheduled hours and any required overtime.Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).
