  • Experience in a clinic setting and ability to verify patient information across multiple systems.
  • English/Spanish bilingual is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming calls and route information.
  • Calculate and collect payment for clinic services.

  • Maintain professional customer service for patients and staff.

Sr Patient Services Specialist

Position Description

This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation ofthe clinic patient flow and serving as the primary contact forpatients. Responsible for scheduling appointments, preparingnecessary paperwork before the patient visits, receiving patients,and maintaining records. In addition, this position is responsiblefor processing charges for clinic services, filing insuranceclaims, responding to requests for information from patients andinsurance companies and maintaining related information for thedepartment. Work is performed in usual clinic conditions andrequires a high degree of direct contact with patients, staff, andinsurance companies. Employees may have cash-handlingresponsibilities.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Greet patients warmly and sincerely as they arrive at theclinic or call in via phone.
  • Act as the patient's guide and advocate through theadministrative details of their clinic visits.
  • Identify and update patient information by navigating multiplecomputer systems and inputting accurate data.
  • Receive all incoming calls for the clinic and distributeinformation accordingly.
  • Calculate and collect payment for clinic services.
  • Ensure patient benefits have been verified and input accuratelyupon check-in.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Assist with appointment reminder calls and missed appointmentservice recovery.
  • Coordinate clinic schedule information with providers andstaff.
  • Maintain a professional customer service atmosphere forpatients, providers, and staff.

Pay Statement
