Qualifications

• Four years experience in healthcare billing, collections, payment processing, or denials management
• Experience in 3+ healthcare areas such as billing/collections and denials or registration
• Healthcare certification (CRCR, CRCS, CHAA) preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience with DRG, ICD-10, CPT-4 and UB04/CMS-1500 claim billing
• Knowledge of legal documents and collection procedures
• Experience with Microsoft Office and billing/claims software
• Knowledge of hospital/physician reimbursement and payer denials and appeals
• Excellent verbal and written English communication

Responsibilities

• Process complex transactions including global transplant cases and payer audits
• Manage denials, withholds, and appeals across third-party and government payers
• Maintain payer relationships and respond to inquiries and complaints
• Prepare and submit required reports and data analyses
• Collaborate with internal departments and IT for system improvements
• Monitor trends in payer issues and suggest revenue opportunities
