Job summary

Kelly Engineering in Gurabo, PR is seeking a Sr Packaging Engineer to act as the Primary Container Technical Owner for packaging operations, technology transfers and validation activities in a leading biotech organization. The role requires fluency in English and Spanish, and accountability for quality and supply continuity.

The position offers competitive hourly compensation of $65.00/hr W2, with fringe benefits, bi-weekly pay, and paid vacations/holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or related regulated industries.
• Primary Container Technical Owner with strong expertise in primary packaging, technology transfer, process validation and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical SME for primary packaging systems and support site-to-site transfers, packaging operations and validation activities.
• Lead investigations, CAPA development, change control processes and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance, product quality and supply continuity across packaging operations.

Compensation: $65.00/hr W2 | Plus fringe benefits

Shift: 8hrs shift | Administrative - with work schedule flexibility as required to support 24/7 operations, requiring occasional after-hours engineering coverage.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have de follow qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering ( Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Chemical Engineer, or a related scientific/technical discipline required.)

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, medical device, consumer health, or related regulated industries.

• Primary Container Technical Owner with strong expertise in pharmaceutical primary packaging, packaging technology transfer activities, process validation, and quality systems.

• Strong background in quality investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA development.

• Experience with change control processes and risk assessment methodologies.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish

The Sr Packaging Engineer- Primary Container Technical Owner will serve as the technical subject matter expert for primary packaging systems and will support site-to-site transfers, packaging operations, investigations, change management, validation activities, and material specification management while ensuring compliance, product quality, and supply continuity.
