Job summary

Kelly® Engineering in Gurabo, PR seeks a Sr Packaging Engineer – Primary Container Technical Owner to lead packaging systems, support site transfers, validation activities and material specifications while ensuring compliance, product quality and supply continuity.

You will be the technical SME for primary packaging with a strong background in QA investigations, CAPA, change control and risk assessment, and you should be fluent in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Packaging Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or related field).
• Minimum of 8+ years in pharma/biotech/medical device/regulatory industries.
• Primary Container Technical Owner with packaging tech transfer, process validation and quality systems expertise.
• Strong background in quality investigations, RCA and CAPA development.
• Experience with change control processes and risk assessment methodologies.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Shift: 8hrs shift | Administrative - with work schedule flexibility as required to support 24/7 operations, requiring occasional after-hours engineering coverage.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have de follow qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering ( Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Chemical Engineer, or a related scientific/technical discipline required.)
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, medical device, consumer health, or related regulated industries.
• Primary Container Technical Owner with strong expertise in pharmaceutical primary packaging, packaging technology transfer activities, process validation, and quality systems.
• Strong background in quality investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA development.
• Experience with change control processes and risk assessment methodologies.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

The Sr Packaging Engineer - Primary Container Technical Owner will serve as the technical subject matter expert for primary packaging systems and will support site-to-site transfers, packaging operations, investigations, change management, validation activities, and material specification management while ensuring compliance, product quality, and supply continuity.
