Job summary

UMB is seeking a Sr. Operations Associate to act as the middleman for central clearinghouse activities related to ACH transactions, from file receipt to settlement. This hybrid role is based at the UMB Technology & Operations Center in Kansas City, MO, with Mon-Thu on-site and Fri remote, and periodic evening backup.

You will monitor ACH flows, ensure timely processing, and reconcile ledgers while handling customer inquiries. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in banking and strong ACH expertise.

Job description

The ACH Operations team is responsible for processing windows that collect and distribute ACH transactions to and from the ACH network. The team also handles exception transactions, as well as settlement entries and GL balancing. These functions are critical to the accurate and efficient processing of transactions on a crucial rail of the payment ecosystem.

As the Sr. Operations Associate, you will serve as the middleman for central clearinghouse activities relating to ACH transactions from receiving the files, sorting and routing the payment data, and settling the funds. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives assigned by Bank Operations leadership.

This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote) at the UMB Technology & Operations Center located in downtown Kansas City, MO. The work schedule is 9:30 AM -6:00 PM. However, for approximately 6 weeks throughout the year, this position will be the primary backup remotely for the evening shift, which has hours of approximately 12:30 PM- 9:00 PM.

Compensation Range

$44,685 - $65,736
