Job summary

Moderna in Norwood, Massachusetts, part of our growing MSAT Materials team, seeks an experienced engineer or scientist to lead material and consumable programs. You will guide new material introductions, scale-up, and technology transfer while ensuring GMP compliance and regulatory alignment.

You will coordinate across Technical Development, Supply Chain, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs to drive cost-saving improvements and supplier collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience with GMP quality systems, processing equipment, unit operations, and regulatory guidelines.
• Strong technical leadership for consumables and/or raw materials across material life cycle.
• Ability to coordinate across functions and lead investigations and CAPAs.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve processes for new consumables and raw materials.
• Contribute to consumable design, scale-up, and tech transfer.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and lead CAPAs.
• Lead supplier change impact assessments and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Serve as technical representative in supplier relationships and troubleshooting.
• Lead writer for regulatory submissions (BLA/MMA) and CTD modules.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and cGMP requirements.
• Collaborate to drive material improvement roadmap and testing strategies.
