Job summary

Makpar is seeking a Senior Monitoring/Observability Architect to lead technical strategy and solution design for enterprise monitoring and observability platforms within a large federal program.

You will define telemetry ingestion patterns, alerting, dashboards, and ITSM integration with ServiceNow and CMDB, produce architecture artifacts, and guide teams across stakeholders while presenting results to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise monitoring/observability or APM engineering, including architecture and integration work.
• Experience solving technical problems across multiple technologies and delivering complex solutions.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and third-party partners.
• Experience developing proposal and bid strategies for large-scale engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy and solution design for monitoring platforms and integrations (Splunk, AppDynamics, DataDog, Elastic Stack).
• Define telemetry ingestion, alerting, dashboarding, and ITSM integration patterns with ServiceNow and CMDB.
• Produce architecture artifacts and standards to support enterprise solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for project segments and coordinate with vendors and teams.
• Review solutions post-implementation and present results to senior management.
