Qualifications

  • 15 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; 12 years with a master’s; 8 years with a PhD.
  • BA/BS in a STEM field and/or Quality Management.
  • Experience as a Project/Program Manager with escalating responsibilities.
  • Advanced structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, PDCA), Lean Six Sigma, and other quality tools.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize the design, deployment, execution, and measurement of Lam’s Key Quality Programs.
  • Ensure successful resolution of nonconformances to positively impact Lam’s customers.
  • Proactively use nonconformance data analysis to improve manufacturing practices and supplier part quality.
  • Influence and enhance Lam's Quality culture by advocating for strong problem-solving skills across the organization.
  • Perform assessments and audits of in-flight 8D records and coach record owners toward resolution, including recurrence prevention across global sites.
  • Perform data analysis to understand root causes of cycle time delays and audit scores; collaborate on solutions.

Lam’s Global Quality Team, and a key contributor to achieving Lam’s Quality Vision via successful execution of cross functional Quality programs.

The impact you’ll make

As a Program Manager at Lam, you’re not just overseeing projects, you’re owning the key critical quality programs. You will also be responsible for leading and expanding the 8D program at Lam. 8D is Lam’s primary mechanism for resolving nonconformances identified in products and services. You’ll combine your problem-solving expertise and semiconductor technical knowledge to further Lam’s vision and goals for sustainable problem solutions and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do
  • Optimize the design, deployment, execution, and measurement of Lam’s Key Quality Programs.
  • Ensure successful resolution of nonconformances to positively impact Lam’s customers.
  • Proactively use nonconformance data analysis to improve manufacturing practices and supplier part quality and decrease Cost of Poor Quality.
  • Influence and enhance Lam's Quality culture by advocating for strong problem-solving skills across the organization.
  • Perform assessments and audits of in-flight 8D records and improve outcomes via coaching or mentoring record owners toward successful resolution, including recurrence prevention across global sites.
  • Perform data analysis to understand root causes of cycle time completion delays and below-target audit scores; collaborate with stakeholders for developing solutions.
Who we’re looking for
  • 15 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 12 years of experience with a master’s degree or 8 years of experience with a Ph.D.
  • BA/BS degree in a STEM field and/or Quality Management.
  • Experience as a Project/Program Manager with escalating responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability in advanced structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, PDCA), Lean Six Sigma, and other established quality tools.
  • Experience in successfully leading others in structured problem-solving methodologies and the use of quality tools to solve complex problems.
  • Knowledge and application of change management methodologies across a global organization is required.
Preferred qualifications
  • Knowledge of and experience working with semiconductor device properties, product development, and manufacturing processes is highly desired.
  • Experience in Quality Management, Product Development/Engineering, Manufacturing, or Customer Service is a plus.
  • ISO 9001:2015 auditing and/or participation is a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate forward-thinking through the integration of data analytics and AI applications is highly preferred.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 - $287,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
