Job summary

SOPHiA GENETICS in Boston, MA seeks a Sr Mgr/Director of Revenue Accounting to lead global revenue reporting, close processes, and policy governance. The role partners across functions, interfaces with external auditors, and drives SOX controls in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Controller, you will own IFRS 15 compliance, supervise monthly closes, and provide guidance on complex transactions while supporting continuous improvements and ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA candidate preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in public accounting serving publicly traded clients and public company work experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP.
• Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry experience preferred.
• Experience with SOX 404 and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Project management with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Cross-functional collaboration and ability to work with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, and ongoing governance of global revenue accounting policies, systems, controls, and procedures in compliance with IFRS 15 and related standards.
• Responsible for monthly close processes for revenue, including journal entries, account reconciliations, true ups, and variance analysis.
• Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for revenue recognition, providing authoritative guidance on complex and non routine transactions.
• Build and maintain SOX compliant internal controls, policies, and SOPs.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors for revenue related matters.

Your Mission

Reporting to the Senior Finance Controller theSr Mgr/Director of Revenue Accountingwill play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting for our global operations. You will lead SEC filings, support the consolidation process across entities, and maintain robust accounting policies and internal controls. Additionally, you will draft technical accounting guidance, partner with external auditors, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects as needed.

• Capable of working cross-functionally and managing multiple prioritiesExperience Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
