Job summary

A logistics technology company in Wilmington, Ohio is seeking a Sr. Manager, Depot Operations. This role is responsible for leading the Depot Operations team, managing day-to-day activities, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements. Responsibilities

  • Functions as the leader for the Depot Operations team.
  • Manages direct reports to meet SLAs and organizational requirements.
  • Develops internal process improvements to enhance customer SLA.
  • Implement processes within the depot to increase productivity and decrease costs to the organization.
  • Manage time and attendance tracking to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Develop internal processes and train staff; conduct performance evaluations within established timelines.
  • Lead onboarding of additional customers and new procedures for the team.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Overview

Working under general supervision of the VP, Technology Integration and Distribution Center, relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals, the Sr. Manager, Depot Operations provides leadership for the technical operation teams in the Depot. Through effective management and adequate training of technical operation team resources, the Sr. Manager ensures the timely fulfillment of customer orders, depot repairs and warranty work while maintaining high quality standards for the work performed. The Sr Manager ensures the capabilities of the technical staff are kept current with new technologies and value add service demands.

Responsibilities
  • Functions as the leader for the Depot Operations team. Oversees day‑to‑day activities of the team, keeping to established customer service level agreements for total cost and quality to maximize efficiencies. Creates and manages policies and procedures that allow the company to be compliant with vendor requirements and internal controls.
    • Ensures compliance to the customers’ fit for use requirements and internal controls are being followed.
    • Provides routine reports, variance analysis, and special project analysis with the intent to recommend corrective action as necessary.
    • Implements processes within the depot to increase productivity and decrease costs to the organization.
  • Manages direct reports to meet the established SLAs for customer service and vendor compliance while meeting organizational requirements for budgeting and increased operational efficiency.
    • Develops and maintains well trained and highly motivated staff by providing goals and ongoing performance feedback; conducts annual performance evaluations within established timelines.
    • Creates reports to review performance against operating plans and standards.
  • Manages time and attendance tracking to ensure accurate and timely completion of daily time records and weekly submission of timecards for payroll processing.
  • Develops internal process improvements to create efficiencies which will improve customer SLA and quality standards.
    • Provides documentation and training of improved depot processes.
    • Identifies processes associated to onboarding additional customers for the team to support.
  • Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Degree requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant work experience required.
