Job description

CoSolutions is looking for a Senior Messaging Design Engineer who will assist the Government Lead with daily engineering duties on messaging systems. The role involves managing operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and account administration for Exchange, Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM), and the Global Address List (GAL). Additionally, the engineer will design, develop, and integrate mobile solutions, including cellular phones, modems, air cards, PDAs (such as Blackberries), tethering, and paging into the Enterprise Network.

Duties

1. Support capacity planning for messaging solutions.
2. Monitor security updates according to government procedures for directory services.
3. Design remote connectivity solutions for unclassified email, calendars, and contacts.
4. Design optional data services, including support for enterprise servers and DoD PKI or approved tokens.
5. Manage highly available Exchange solutions using DAC/DAG.
6. Handle records retention and litigation hold procedures.
7. Perform messaging disaster recovery and message classification tasks.
8. Manage application networking ports, IA, routing, and LAN configurations.
9. Integrate PKI certificates and network accounts to support two-factor authentication across AD domains.
10. Develop and integrate access management solutions like ForeFront, Oracle/Sun, and other access management tools.
11. Design and implement GAL access via Outlook, OWA, or similar products.
12. Integrate systems with WSUS, SCCM, HBSS, storage devices, and virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
13. Perform system integration with SQL Server 2008 R2 and manage server installations.
14. Complete backups and disaster recovery using tools like NetBackup.

Requirements

• Experience with upgrading and integrating Exchange servers from versions 2003 to 2013 and Windows Server 2008R2/2012 R2.
• Experience with Outlook Anywhere, PowerShell scripting, Group Policy, and IIS.
• Must hold an ITIL v3 Foundation certification.
