Job summary

Chemours Washington Works, Parkersburg, WV, seeks a Sr. Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical to serve within the Central Maintenance Engineering Organization and be assigned to a Production Unit.

You will address fixed and rotating equipment issues, lead root-cause analyses, and implement improvements up to $500,000. Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited) and about 5 years of engineering experience, with strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 5 years of Engineering experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic mechanical engineering principles.
• Diagnose and solve technical problems with data-based decisions.
• Independent and team work capability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to wear PPE including steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators.

Responsibilities

• Support high quality, efficient field execution of mechanical Maintenance work.
• Develop Job Plans, Procedures and Execution Standards.
• Lead troubleshooting and supports Root Cause Analysis for larger events.
• Possesses deep practical knowledge of fixed and rotating equipment and repairs.
• Collaborate with Mechanics, Operations and other engineers.
• Improves work execution and standardization.
• Implements smaller Change of Designs (CODs) in the plant.
