Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Remote -- Houston, TX)

We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client in the machinery industry. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the Houston, TX metropolitan area and surrounding regions, with travel to client and customer sites as needed.

The ideal candidate will reside in Houston or within a 50-mile radius, including cities such as The Woodlands, Sugar Land, or Pasadena.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test machinery and mechanical equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to execute projects successfully.
• Contribute to the development of advanced solutions for heavy equipment like cranes, excavators, agricultural machinery, and oil and gas systems.
• Create detailed drawings and blueprints for manufacturing.
• Develop and test prototypes to meet quality and safety standards.
• Stay updated on technological advancements in machinery engineering.
• Provide solutions to mechanical design and development challenges.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in mobile heavy equipment machinery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor (preferred), AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles.
