Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer with deep expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing engineering changes and complex equipment drawings with minimal guidance. The ideal candidate will bring strong CAD modeling skills, experience in large assembly file management, and a working knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create CAD models and engineering drawings for complex equipment.
• Develop product structures in PDM systems.
• Prepare complex design layouts and schematics from rough sketches or engineering instructions.
• Review and check drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform tolerance studies to ensure equipment functionality.
• Apply knowledge of materials, methods, and manufacturing practices to design.
• Incorporate reliability, HSE, and quality analysis in design processes.
• Mentor junior drafters and ensure drafting quality standards are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Strong experience with large assembly file management.
• Experience in sheet metal and piping design.
• Familiarity with tolerance requirements and performing tolerance studies.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing, operations, and maintenance best practices.
• Associate's degree in drafting or related discipline and 7+ years of experience, or 9+ years of relevant drafting/design experience.
