Position: Sr Mechanical Designer

Location: Duncan, OK

Description:

• Under general supervision, develops engineering changes and engineering drawings for complex equipment with minimal design requirements and instructions.
• Applies sound engineering design logic and judgement to create innovative solutions to design problems.
• Expert in creating proper part CAD models.
• Creates product structures in PDM systems.
• Proficient in the preparation of complex design layouts and/or schematics based on rough sketches or instructions from engineering personnel with some latitude for independent design judgement.
• Responsible for drafting quality in design documentation.
• Checks drawings of other design personnel for completeness and accuracy as required.
• Aware of tolerance requirements for proper function of equipment. Performs tolerance studies on tools for proper function of equipment.
• Utilizes and exchanges expertise of the materials and methods.
• Applies expertise of manufacturing, production processes, operations, and maintenance practices to designs. Incorporates reliability,
• HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process.
• Job tasks impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
• Skills typically acquired through the completion of an Associate's degree in drafting or similar discipline and 7 years of related experience or through 9 years of related drafting/design experience.
